Bleaching has been around for many years in the dental industry. The gold standard method for this is the take home whitening technique. That is what we use in our office and it consists of making custom bleaching trays and supplying the bleaching gel. We also provide thorough instructions so that the technique is followed properly.

Bleaching works by using a solution called carbamide peroxide. This solution reacts with water to form hydrogen peroxide. This peroxide agent acts to penetrate the existing pores in the enamel and reaches the stained dentin layer. This agent bleaches these areas and creates a whiter appearance in the tooth.
